DC’s Elemental Theories on The Green, The Red, The Clear, The Grey, The Black, and The Speed Force

Christopher Peruzzi 1
There are special energy networks in the DCU. DC readers need to know about The Green, The Red, The Clear, The Grey, The Black, and The Speed Force like children need to know the capital cities of every state. We all know what we get with Superman and Batman, but some heroes are a small […]

A Primer on the Character of Iron Fist

Christopher Peruzzi 0
I am so excited. March 17th is just around the bend. It’s going to be a great time for me. Lots of action and people wearing green. I’m talking about, of course, the premiere of Netflix’s Iron Fist. Just so you know, I’m intentionally writing this piece before the premiere of Netflix’s Iron Fist. I […]

Lessons from Superman

Christopher Peruzzi 0
Not Just a Strange Visitor Of all of the comic book superheroes to enter American consciousness, Superman resonates with us, the most. Why? He’s the one who saves the day. As mortal men, any job that’s too large for us to handle, we call for help. It is the fantasy that someone with powers exponentially […]

It’s More Than a Pipe, Deerstalker, and a Hypodermic Needle Welcome to the second part of Sherlock Holmes: Rating 10 Actors. In part one, I gave my assessment of Basil Rathbone, Christopher Plummer, Nicole Williamson, Ian McKellen, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Today, I’m going to do the remaining five. Sherlock Holmes: Rating 10 Actors – Part One

Christopher Peruzzi 0
The Game is Afoot Of all the literary figures I’ve read throughout my lifetime, hands down, my favorite has been the great detective, Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I was lucky enough to get into Holmes early in life when my eighth-grade literature teacher decided he was going to spend a few weeks […]

Comic Book Characters Who Are Versions Of Donald Trump

Christopher Peruzzi 0
Trump has been in the spotlight for a long time. Long before Donald John Trump threw his hat into the political arena or became the star of his own reality show, he had been in the public lexicon for decades. For me, personally, he came into my sphere of influence back in the eighties. Trump was […]

Thoughts About the Next Doctor… Who

Christopher Peruzzi 0
It’s that time again… It’s happened before and it will happen again. The lead actor in the longest running science fiction franchise is leaving the show. Peter Capaldi has announced that season ten (relative to the 2005 relaunch) will be his last and he’ll be leaving as the Twelfth Doctor with head writer Stephen Moffat. […]

An Evening Watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail with John Cleese

Christopher Peruzzi 0
It Was A Silly Place On Sunday night, January 29th, I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the Count Basie Theater. Originally released in 1975, this cult hit has been a Monty Python fan favorite for decades. It is a comedy full of nonsense and would make Sir Thomas Mallory pull his hair out […]

Count Olaf – A Challenge to Act Badly

Christopher Peruzzi 0
Good Actors Play a Bad One Lemony Snicket introduces Count Olaf with the following quote: “The dreadful villainy of this vile fiend has haunted me since I first met him as a young man. And every night, as I continue to work on the Baudelaire case, I find myself weeping, thinking of his utter wickedness […]

A Study of the Star Wars Prequels

Christopher Peruzzi 0
Prequels Are Fascinating In almost every one, we find the hidden history brings a new light and dimension to old established characters. Writers and actors call this “backstory” when they look at an individual character. They are the story before the story. Most of the time, prequels exist to answer questions. Why did he do that? […]

Which Part Will Peter Dinklage Play in Avengers: Infinity War?

Christopher Peruzzi 0
Three Good Roles for One Actor Peter Dinklage is rumored to be in Avengers: Infinity War. We just don’t know as who. He is rumored to play one of three completely different roles. The three possible roles are also completely different and, ironically, completely perfect for Mr. Dinklage. The roles are Pip the Troll, MODOK, or […]

Geeks Lost in Sports Land

Christopher Peruzzi 0
A Stranger in a Stranger Land The holidays are a wonderful time for some. The weather is crisp. The spirit of joy is in the air. Plums have been sugared and eggs have been thoroughly nogged. It’s a time when we get to revisit our families and get to know them all over again. For […]
