In last night’s amazing episode of The Walking Dead, we apparently saw the end of fan-favorite Glenn – one of only a few original cast members still standing. But did Maggie’s husband really buy it? Or is it all a trick? Spoiler’s ahead, people. If you saw last night’s episode of TWD, you’re probably in […]
The slasher film is like the retarded cousin to the Giallo. We see the kills happening by the masked man, and we have to wait all movie to find out who it is. Where the Giallo had the black glove, the slasher has the mask. What the Giallo had that the slasher didn't carry over was style. Slashers are really all very formulaic in their layout. Case in point, The Prowler.
WTF? Hotel Transylvania 2? Yes it is true I went to see this movie in the theatre and I went without any kids. But this isn't a Halloween Horror movie! True, but it is a Halloween movie and I love Halloween from all aspects. I love the scary Halloween, I love the pagan Halloween, I love the innocence on Halloween. Just like I love horror. I love all aspects of horror, movies, literature, art, ultra gory, supernaturally scary, silent atmospheric and the black and white classics. So shut the fuck up, sit back and let me tell you about Hotel Transylvania 2.
Before C.H.U.D. was roaming around in the sewers of NYC, there was something lurking in the tubes of the London Underground. Something that has been there for a very long time and is now venturing out and seeking Raw Meat. Sort of, the original title of the film is Death Line which probably makes more sense, though technically there is raw meat in this movie and that title which it was changed to in the US, does sound a little more gruesome.
If you’re as much of a fan of naked ladies as I am, you’re no doubt shocked and appalled by the news that Playboy magazine – the icon of softcore nudity worldwide – is going ‘nudity free’ in 2016. But the real question is: Will it destroy the brand? The Playboy bunny is the second-most […]
It’s finally here – the day I’ve been dreaming about ever since I was a kid. It’s the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown travelled to ‘the future’ in their time-travelling DeLorean. Only it’s not the future any more. It’s now. And in what must be one of the most fun marketing experiences of my […]
I wouldn’t normally feel the need to report on a fake story, but this one is really very funny. Around 9 hours ago someone shared a post to the subreddit: r/SouthPark claiming in the title, “Yelp Sues South Park For $10 Million Over Latest Episode” and they linked to this “NBC” post here: http://nbc.com.co/yelp-sues-south-park-for-10-million-over-episode/ It’s since gotten […]
Considering Halloween is a holiday we all love and cherish, ironically there are so few movies that deal with the actual holiday itself. Recently we got the excellent movie Trick 'r Treat which kind of took the mantle as the quintessential Halloween movie, but before that there is not too much. I guess you can kind of count John Carpenter's Halloween if you want, but really, that movie is more about Michael Myers and not so much the holiday. Seems like every Christmas we get a slew of new Christmas movies, and yes we do get out fair share of horror movies, but not so many dealing with the holiday itself.
Yesterday, the new trailer for Star Wars Episode VII hit, and if you didn’t wet your pants a little I’m ashamed of you. It looks incredibly thrilling, and I got goosebumps watching it. Interestingly enough, at the same time the movie dropped, so did a new hashtag on Twitter: #BoycottStarWarsVII Apparently, there’s a movement on Twitter […]
Still in awe of what I just saw. I’ll take a second to let you soak it in too. We good? Good! I have to go back to 1977 when I was just 9 years old and experienced Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope for the first time to remember how happy I felt. That pure unadulterated joy. […]
We showed you the poster as soon as it was publicly available yesterday here: http://echoba.se/new-star-wars-force-awakens-poster-arrived/ But we got it out so quick we didn’t have time to analyze it. Below are our thoughts. Also be sure and check out the clips that were released this morning in anticipation of the third (and perhaps final) trailer tonight […]
Despite a lot of wonkyness and crashing, I still love my Xbox One. With Games With Gold we get 2 free games a month that are usually awesome and I’ve been happy with almost every title I’ve ever played on the console. And then there’s that voice control! When it works, it works really well. […]
