Sometimes, there is casting so perfect that not even the assholes on Twitter get upset about it.
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Patrick Stewart as Professor X. And now… Norman Reedus as Ghost Rider?
The rights to the infamous hog-riding spirit of vengeance recently returned to Marvel, and obviously there’s a rich cinematic universe to welcome soul-sold superhero Johnny Blaze to. But who would play this fiery-headed furioso?
Well, it just turns out that The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus has his eye on the part – and damn, wouldn’t he be perfect?
“Fuck yeah, I’m down,” Norman said at the suggestion. “Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Hell yeah, it’d be a blast!”
Despite TWD fans warning “If Darryl Dies, We Riot” there are rumors abound that he’s the one who took the fatal blow at the end of last season’s finale – which would definitely free up his schedule for filming. In fact, he’s also on the air in the motorcycle-themed Ride, so it’s possible this is more than just wishful thinking. Maybe Alexandria’s loss is the Marvel Universe’s gain.
What do you think? Could there be any more perfect casting for Ghost Rider?
